Every Sunday from 10am to 4pm, Spectra opens its doors to everyone. No appointment, no obligation, just more than 3,500 products to see, touch and compare before you build.
Ask anyone who has built a home what surprised them most, and the sheer number of decisions usually comes up. Tapware, tiles, benchtops, door handles, light fittings, window frames: each one is small on its own, but together they shape how a home looks and feels every single day. Seeing them in a brochure or on a screen only gets you so far.
That’s where Spectra Showroom comes in. Our 2,500 square metre selection centre in Mulgrave is open to the public every Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm, with no appointment necessary. Whether you’re considering a knockdown rebuild, planning your first new home or simply collecting ideas, it’s the easiest way to see what’s out there in a single visit.
Spectra, our 2,500 square metre selection centre in Mulgrave, is open to the public every Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
Thousands of choices, one address
Instead of a weekend spent driving between tile shops, lighting stores and appliance showrooms, Spectra brings more than 3,500 materials, fixtures, fittings and appliances from leading Australian and global brands together under one roof.
It’s laid out the way a home comes together from the inside out. You start in the kitchen and move through appliances, interior finishes, bathrooms, flooring, lighting and electrical, windows and doors, exterior selections and sustainable living. Along the way you’ll walk through four full kitchens and eleven bathroom displays and browse more than 120 light fittings and over 70 door designs. It’s a lot to take in, which is why plenty of visitors come back for a second look.
Four full kitchens show how cabinetry, benchtops and appliances work together at full scale.
Some things you have to feel
A stone sample on a screen can’t tell you how cool it feels under your hand, or how a matt black tap sits against a white basin. At Spectra you can slide open a drawer, stand beneath a pendant and lay a floor tile next to a cabinetry door to see whether they belong together. Texture, weight and the way a colour shifts in natural light are all far easier to judge in person.
It’s also where you discover what you didn’t know to look for, from energy-efficient windows and sustainable living features to lighting and appliance options suited to how your household lives.
Take the guesswork out of building
Most people start a new build with a few firm ideas and a long list of open questions. A Sunday at Spectra turns a saved folder of inspiration into real, tangible choices. You’ll leave knowing which finishes you’re drawn to, which materials stand up to a busy family home, and what to ask when it’s time to lock in your selections.
If you’re already building with Carlisle, that groundwork pays off when you revisit for your colour appointment, where a design consultant guides you through every selection. If you’re still deciding, it’s a clear picture of what your new home could include.
Eleven bathroom displays show how tiles, tapware and vanities come together, so you can choose with confidence.
Make a day of it
Spectra is designed to be explored at your own pace, not rushed. With relaxing lounge areas, a playroom for younger visitors and a parents’ room, it’s easy to bring the whole family along and make a day of it.
