Who Is Eligible for Help to Buy in Victoria?

To qualify for the Help to Buy Scheme in Victoria, you'll need to meet a few straightforward criteria:

• Citizenship: You must be an Australian citizen aged 18 or older.
• Income Caps:
• Individuals: Your annual taxable income must be $100,000 or less.
• Joint Applicants & Single Parents: Your combined annual taxable income must be $160,000 or less.
• Property Ownership: This Scheme is for first-time homeowners or those who haven't owned property recently. You cannot currently own any other land or property in Australia or overseas.
• Principal Residence: Your new home must be where you live. It cannot be an investment property.
• Lender: You'll need to secure your home loan from a participating lender. Currently, these are Commonwealth Bank and Bank Australia.
