A Major Milestone for Carlisle Homes: The 20,000th Slab Pour

Carlisle Homes recently celebrated that moment on a remarkable scale, completing its 20,000th slab pour. And in a fitting twist, the milestone didn’t unfold in a brand-new estate but on a quiet suburban street as part of a Knockdown Rebuild (KDR). A reminder that fresh beginnings don’t only start in new communities – they can rise from the very place families already call home.

Among those onsite was Wayne Hepburn, Director of Hepcon Constructions, whose team has been part of Carlisle slab pours since the early days. “When I heard this was the 20,000th, it actually blew me away,” he said. “It makes me really proud to have been involved with Carlisle since the very start.”

Carlisle Construction Manager Andrew Palmer also reflected on the milestone with a sense of perspective. “I was involved in the 10,000th customer settlement only five or six years ago,” he shared. “To double that in such a short time says a lot about how far the brand and its people have come.”

Carlisle Construction Supervisor Anna Sahni, who announced the milestone, echoed the sentiment. “It’s more than a number,” she said. “It’s a reminder of how many families we’ve helped start their new lives.”

The pour brought together long-standing members of Carlisle’s trusted supplier and subcontractor network, many of whom have shaped thousands of foundations over the years. Their reflections spoke to a shared pride in the relationships behind the work – partnerships built over decades of collaboration, and a commitment to delivering quality for Victorian families.

What stood out most was a collective belief that a milestone like this belongs to everyone involved, from the first display home walkthrough to the final handover. For many, the achievement symbolised not just what has been built, but the trust, teamwork and craftsmanship that make each slab possible.
