Journey palette

Bring a cosy and eclectic feel to your home with the dusty blues, leafy greens, decadent  reds, and gently worn textures of the Journey palette.

“Journey celebrates the art of storytelling, where mythical iconography and cherished folk aesthetics find their rightful place, adding layers of depth and colour to your space,” says Andrea Lucena-Orr, Dulux Colour and Communications Manager. “Olive greens and mustard yellow shades are prominent, with dusty blues and rich burgundy acting as accents within a mix of faded and soft textured furnishings and handmade pieces, including painted wicker.”

Try adding a clay pink like Dulux Evening Blush to the walls and ceiling of a living room, contrasted with a green velvet sofa, and a vintage, tribal rug underfoot. Or add a cocooning feel to a bedroom with walls in Dulux Bruised Burgundy, a scalloped bedhead in mustard, and a bed piled high with richly embroidered and patterned linens. You’ll instantly feel transported to exotic, faraway places!

Solstice palette

Set a serene and comforting tone with the Scandi-inspired Solstice palette, which combines rich brown, clay and warm neutrals with accents of yellow in a way that’s reminiscent of a desert landscape. “This is a warm and welcoming palette of nurturing hues to make you feel safe and at home,” says Lucena-Orr.

“Sun-soaked neutrals are influenced by a soft orange glow and paired with softer shades of pastel blue and citrus yellow. This trend embodies a harmonious blend of cosy and calm styling elements, with captivating material highlights like natural stone, ceramic and highly textured fabrics,” she says.

Bring the look to life in a formal living room, study or open-plan living space by washing the walls in harmonising neutrals, such as Dulux Tan Wagon and Dulux Jodhpurs, paired with timber floors, curvaceous sofas or seating in linen or bouclé, and ceramics and décor pieces with simple lines and a matt finish.

Or, transform your master suite into a fashion-forward oasis with Dulux Reddy Brown on your walls and Dulux Light Rice Half on the ceiling, styled with a minimalist timber bed and bedside tables, and textural linen bedding in white and sky blue.

Dulux Colour Forecast 2024 - Muse palette. Left: walls in Dulux Decoration Blue; ceiling and trims in Dulux Lexicon Quarter. Our beautiful Cottesloe 36 display home at Minta Estate, Berwick, perfectly captures the Dulux Muse aesthetic, with its rich blues and characterful touches.

Muse palette

Love retro and modern styles in equal measure? With the Muse palette, you can have both! A stylish mash-up of ‘70s, ‘80s and contemporary design, it blends warm brown, rich tan, deep blue and soothing green with quirky vintage art, sleek lighting fittings, coloured glass, and lashings of crushed velvet. The result is a home that exudes free-spirited style.

“Sustainability is particularly prominent within the Muse palette as we reimagine past trends with vintage pieces to create an interior that feels unmistakably contemporary,” says Lucena-Orr. It’s the perfect balance between nostalgia and modernity, adds Colour Forecaster and Stylist Bree Leech; “The sophisticated palette results in spaces that are timeless and simultaneously modern, and that pays tribute to the design icons that have come before us.”

Add wow factor to your entry with an accent wall in deep blue (Dulux Passionate Blue), topped with a mirror or artworks with seafoam green-painted frames; dial up the fun factor in a rumpus room or kids’ activity area with rich green walls (Dulux Surf Green) paired with a funky crimson sofa and mustard-yellow scatter cushions; or set a groovy, retro-meets-modern vibe in a guest room with warm amber walls (Dulux Tuscan Sunset) and crisp blue and white striped bedlinen.
