In episode four of the Home Files Podcast, we get to the fun part of building your new home – choosing the perfect products and finishes at our spectacular Spectra Showroom!

When do you make selections?
Once you’ve chosen a Carlisle house design and paid your deposit, you’ll be invited to a 90-minute Colour Browse Appointment, where we’ll introduce you to our Spectra Showroom and show you all the standard inclusions – as well as any possible upgrades – for your home.
Then, we’ll book you in for a Colour Selection appointment, where you’ll make selections for every part of your home.
What makes the visit so special?
Our new Spectra Showroom is designed to make creating your new home as easy as possible, with products for every part of the house – inside and out – under one roof, plus loads of inspirational room settings to fuel your design thinking.
You’ll get to see real-life kitchens, bathrooms and laundry displays, and get up close and personal with the latest products to see exactly how they will look in your own home.
The Spectra Showroom is designed to make creating your new home as easy as possible, with products for every part of the house.
What happens during the appointment?
You’ll be appointed a personal Colour Consultant who will guide you through the selection process to ensure that everything you choose works seamlessly together.
The appointment gets broken down into seven key areas of the home, and your consultant will walk you through your options for every area (standard inclusions and upgrades).
Effectively, you have your own interior designer alongside you all day!
What are the main areas?
The seven areas you’ll cover in your appointment are:
- Exterior, including façade and material choices.
- Internals, including wall colours and door profiles.
- Kitchen, including joinery and appliances.
- Bathrooms, including joinery and fixtures.
- Flooring in living rooms, wet areas and bedrooms.
- Electrical/ smart home.
- Green products, such as double glazing and solar panels.
How long does it take?
Your appointment will take a full day, which includes time for breaks and lunch at our delicious café. Appointments are Monday to Friday.
How can you prepare for your visit?
We’ve got an abundance of digital tools to help you prepare for your visit, including:
- Online Profile on our website where you can save your favourite interior styles and images in one handy spot.
- Visualiser tool, which lets you see exactly how colours will look on your exterior or interior.
- Spectra Online where you can browse all the gorgeous colours, fixtures, materials, and appliances available for your new home (standard and upgrades).
