A little bit about Surround by Laminex
What are Surround by Laminex wall panels?
Decorative MDF wall panels that you attach to walls. They come as raw, pre-primed sheets that connect with a tongue-and-groove system. Once installed, all you need to do is add a lick of paint.
You can use them just about anywhere, including bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, entryways, kids’ rooms and mudrooms. They are certified water-resistant, so you can install them in bathrooms and laundries too.
How easy are they to install?
The panels are DIY-friendly so you can put them up them yourself (we advise checking out the Surround by Laminex DIY videos).
They attach to a range of wall types, including timber, plasterboard, steel, brick and masonry.

Cosy vibes in the Sacramento 31
We’ve added a Surround by Laminex Batten 100 panel to the master suite in our Sacramento 31 display home at Redstone Estate. Its timeless vertical lines feature on the wall behind the bed, which we’ve painted in Dulux Baltic Beige for a cosy, classic-meets-contemporary feel.
A natural feel in the Illawarra Grand 42
With its soft, undulating curves, the Surround by Laminex Scallop 45 panelling brings an unmistakable sense of luxury. We’ve installed it behind the bed in the master suite of our Illawarra Grand 42 at Aurora Estate and painted it in a dusty olive, Dulux Knave, to create a warm, natural vibe.
Laid-back elegance in the Scarborough Grand 40
For a subtle, sophisticated look, we’ve layered tonal greys in different textures from floor to walls in the master suite of the Scarborough Grand 40 at Smiths Lane Estate. There’s a half wall behind the bed in curvaceous Surround by Laminex Demi Round 20, painted in Dulux Stone River, along with a tonal grey wallpaper above it and a carpet in a harmonising hue. We’ve also brought in pops of terracotta in the bedlinen and art for some energy and contrast.
Elevated style at Illawarra Grand Deluxe 45
To bring textural interest to the luxurious master suite at Illawarra Grand Deluxe 45 at Meridian Estate, we’ve added a wall of Surround by Laminex Batten 25 with its slender, vertical lines, painted in a rich greige, Dulux Baron Grey. Accents of black in the artwork, furniture and bedlinen add a modern edge.
Depth & dimension at Astoria Grand 54
Surround by Laminex panelling plays a starring role in our Astoria Grand 54 display home at Meridian Estate.

With its warm, modern-country feel, this home called for classic V-groove panelling – Surround by Laminex Classic VJ profile. We’ve used Classic VJ 100 painted in crisp Dulux White on White in the theatre, study and living area, which we’ve carried upstairs to the kids’ activity zone and master suite to contrast with the home’s rich timber detailing.
The Illawarra Grand Deluxe 45 at Meridian Display Centre features the Creswick Hebel façade, which is a fresh, modern twist on a classic colonial style.
